Step-father dream

Before falling asleep I had been using an electronic device with a touch-screen
which likely accounts for the dream that follows. In my conscious (non-dream life)
I had been going through old postcards and photos manually -no electronic device.
The setting of this dream was a dance hall of the 1940's. The occupants were men
and women at a dance. The men were in US military garb. The women had long,
beautiful hair parted in the middle. They wore single piece dresses with buttons
down the front. The shoulders were well padded.
The colors in the dream were entirely sepia. They started as still photos
and when I touched them they came alive and the figures started to move. Many
were dancing to honky tonk tunes. Some were smoking. All seemed happy.
The main figure was youthful, somewhat baby-faced with blond, curly hair.
He was smiling as I had never seen my step-father. He was happy. He was a
good dancer and appeared to be popular in this gathering.
